Born in Cuba, Carmen discovered the world of color at a very early age. She began playing with prismacolor pencils when she was a little girl. Her artistic expression encompasses a variety of media and styles. She has shown and has been commissioned as a portrait artist, winning best of show at the Beverly Hills Art League for a stunning portrait of her parents. Perfecting her craft in New York and California, Carmen exhibited her work in exhibitions and galleries. Two of her major paintings were reproduced in an international literary magazine. Carmen's works display her passion for life, continually expressing changes and growth in the artist. Carmen's love of nature, and it's many faces has been her primary subject. Last year opened a new dimension... including humor and whimsicality as gnomes. Private collectors in England, New York, Salt Lake City, Mexico, Miami, and Venezuela treasure her paintings, as well as many in California, including Cambria, her home.
