It is a pleasure to live in this fine area of friendly folks as neighbors and business owners. Now I'm grateful to share my artwork here - a lifelong dream realized!

I have been drawing since childhood, carrying my sketchbooks with me in travels, and taking many workshops all over the world to learn more skills of watercolor painting.

Most recently, I have enjoyed collage workshops with Robert Burridge and Jeanette Wolff.

Painting with the 'Wednesday Irregulars' is a habit I treasure as I continue to learn from their friendly constructive criticisms.

Most work employs watercolors with newer efforts of Asian silk fabrics and papers in collage form and most recently, acrylic. I find the challenges of design and color fascinating and always soul stimulating.

Pushing thick, vibrant acrylic colors around a canvas to intepret the endless variety of subjects found in our area is my joy of painting. After spending thirty years speaking, writing and teaching art at the Hearst Castle and Cuesta College I found my real passion to be in my own creation of art. As well as getting college art degrees I have enjoyed workshops with many artists including Walter Askin, John Barnard, Marcia Burke, Bob Burridge, Tom Fong, Eveni Lupenik, Christopher Schink, and Chris Van Winkle. My paintings have found homes in private collections throughout California, Washington, Oregon, Florida, Washington D.C. and England.
